Oh I am such a liar! That last post was 4 months ago. *facepalm*

Well, a few things have happened since then. Most notably, I turned TWENTY. Yikes!

Too further emphasize this big change, I got 2 feet of my hair chopped off. Amélie style!

But right before I did that, I got to do a lovely photo shoot with my friend
Neebin. She's too bogged down with all the shoots she's been doing to edit and post my photos just yet, but in the meantime, here's a teaser:

She dressed me, loaned me awesome gloves, and did my makeup too!

I've been going a bit stir crazy lately, so it was super nice to get out into the sunshine. It was BEAUTIFUL at the park that day. We got super lucky. It was also gorgeous on my birthday when we went hiking at McDowell Creek Falls, and the day before when I went to the beach with friends.

I have recently become obsessed with Emily Martin, an adorable girl who lives in Portland. She makes fabulous art and is famous for her Etsy shop. She has two blogs - one for art, and another filled with her amazing fashion finds and creations. Check her out! I am totally inspired.

Whoa... what is this? Life outside of facebook?? Who'd have thunk it.

Has it really been a year since my last post? Ridiculous. But I am back! And in many forms.

Hello my lovely blog readers!

My family is having a GIGANTIC yard sale TOMORROW and the next day.

All the money we raise is for my trip to Argentina! So you should definitely stop by and take a look around.

It's a joint sale with our neighbors at: 606 and 622 Survista Ave. Corvallis

From 9am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

ALSO - All of the art orders are ready, so if you ordered Prints or Cards for me, please stop by sometime this weekend to pick them up! If you won't be able to do that, I'll be able to make a run around town sometime next week, maybe by Tuesday.

Oh, and I'm planning to bake more fun things for the sale as well. =)

I just got back from Balkanalia last Sunday, and I'm headed to my next camp tomorrow! The summer is going by so fast!

Balkanalia was tons and tons of fun. XD

This was our cabin. The 6 of us girls ended up having a cabin all to ourselves, while Adriel pitched a tent outside.

We went to classes.

We went swimming in the Sandy river.

We hung out on the second floor balcony over the main hall quite a bit, being our crazy selves.

And we stayed out late at all the dance parties!

Today is Lemonade Day. Yum! Your task for today:
Make a basic lemonade recipe. Start with lemonade, and add anything you want - fruit, herbs, juice, alcohol. Make it however you want - just make it delicious!

I love adding lavender to lemonade. I just recently made some lavender syrup by simmering 1 cup of water with 2 cups of sugar, adding 2 tablespoons or more of dried culinary lavender, and letting that sit for a few minutes. It is sooooo yummy. And then you just add a bit of that to your lemonade.
I've also added various sweet herbs like mint, lemon balm, and pineapple sage. Blackberries are in season too, and those are great in juice. ♥

Is there something you’ve dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven’t you done it?
Let's see.... I've wanted to go to Alaska for a very long time, among many other places... too many reasons for not doing that, the main one being money.
I've also wanted to try being completely vegan... the reason for not doing that? Because I'm a wuss, lol. And because I'm living with my family, it would be more difficult.

Okay, well it would depend on what "come to life" means, but.... how about Winnie the Pooh? or Gumby? or, to be a bit more normal... Minerva McGonagall, Emma Peel, Miss Marple, or Mary Poppins.

Ermmm... do online stores count? Amazon, obviously, because almost everything is on there. Orrrr..... Sock Dreams!! Holy cow that would be awesome. Something like Oxfam would also be very cool.

1. trip to Mexico with my family - the whole thing basically.
2. first and only trip to Disneyland. we went during the slow season, so some rides were being worked on, but we went on Indiana Jones 4 times and didn't have to stand in line!
3. on the same trip as Disneyland, we stayed in downtown Hollywood. We went to a film festival to see a short film that my favorite actress (Debra Jo Rupp) was in. She didn't show up, but I got a postcard signed by one of the directors!
4. Not Back To School Camp.
5. The time my family went camping, and on the way back to our camp site, our car broke down, and we had to spend the night in an odd little town called "Halfway", without any of our stuff.
6. Getting "stuck" in Canada on 9/11.
7. Cutting my finger with a pocket knife on a homeschool camping trip, and having Mom drive me home to go to the doctor's.
8. first homeschool trip to Odell Lake in the snow. Crazy partying '70s style, and first time on skis.
9. Seeing the wintering Monarch Butterflies who migrated to California.
10. Bekka's coming of age weekend stay at the beach. Best unschooling fun I've ever had.

What would you do if, all of a sudden, your favorite source of books was unavailable?

Whether it’s a local book shop, your town library, or an internet shop … what would you do if, suddenly, they were out of business? Devastatingly, and with no warning? Where would you go for books instead? What would you do? If it was a local business you would try to help out the owners? Would you just calmly start buying from some other store? Visit the library in the next town instead? Would it be devastating? Or just a blip in your reading habit?

We're talking about Grass Roots, obviously. It actually takes me a minute to think of any others. I shop at Borders occasionally, but rarely for books, more for movies and music. If Grass Roots disappeared? That would be horrible! My family knows the owners, and my cousin worked there for a number of years, so it's a very special place. And what's a hang-out-downtown-day without a stop at Grass Roots? It's like a landmark, practically. Soooo, it would be horrible. All of the other locally owned bookstores are second-hand, which only work for some of the time.
Don't even ask me about the library. As a homeschooler, it's been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. I'm always seriously shocked to find out that someone doesn't spend their life there. =P

1. Do you ever have 'ghosts from the past' pop their heads in to say hi? Has it happened to you lately? If so, who was it? If not, is there anyone you wish you could find?
Not very often. But a lot of people that I knew from like, pre-school, are now high-school friends of other friends of mine, which is funny but strange. I never know if I should just be like "Hi! Remember that time you lifted my skirt in first grade?" or get re-introduced and pretend it never happened... haha.

2. What do you think of Facebook? If you're a Facebooker, have you had any contact with long lost friends of the past?
I love facebook. Everything's sort of out in the open, which I don't know for sure is always a good thing or not... But yes, I did just get "friended" by someone I haven't talked to since I was 9.

3. Pretty much everyone is easily found these days. Do you miss the days of not being able to be found, or do you welcome people finding you? Why/why not?
New friends are good, though new-old friends can be awkward, but cool nonetheless. It's also great for stalking... cousins you haven't seen in years and such. =P

Charlotte couldn't come to movie night, so we (all 11 of us) went to visit her at DQ! I'm sure she was thrilled, lol.

Ana and I had a picnic on the solstice. I love our new blanket - very festive.

Cuppy-cakes! Somebody chose the color of the frosting.... which actually looks quite nice here, I must admit. It all sort of melted into one big glop though. =P

Sophie and I were walking down Witham Hill, and we stopped by the cemetery so Sophie could show me where there's a slave who's been buried with the family she served. *shudders*
Very interesting though. We like how the rest of the family's gravestones are falling apart, and her's looks just fine. ^_^

Mexico trip - Day 7

We drove south of Puerto Vallarta to eat at a restaurant on the beach.
Mom and Sophie took pictures of the salt and pepper... lol.

Mom asked me to get a shot of the old people swimming, so I did. Hahaha.

Yes, here's me. If you know me, you know I get into positions like this all the time, solely for photography.

Here's the shot I was taking. I don't even really like how it turned out.

I think this was taken through Sophie's sunglasses. This was the beach at the restaurant. Looks kinda like Oregon, doesn't it? There's a pelican in there! It's flying.

This is the hotel that the restaurant was part of.

We stopped at the Malecon on the way back to the house. This is me, Mom and Soph.

10 Favorite Actors/Actresses

1) Dame Helen Mirren - Because I drool when I see her, that's why. Oh, and she's amazingly talented, versatile, often nude, etc.
2) Meryl Streep - Brilliant brilliant brilliant. She can do ANYTHING. She does accents like nobody else.
3) Dame Maggie Smith - 'nuff said.
4) Alan Rickman - I find him incredibly interesting. He seems a mystery, but really nice. He's very british, and sexy in a odd sort of way.
5) Zoë Wanamaker - She played Madam Hooch in the first Harry Potter film, and is currently playing Susan Harper in the britcom "My Family", which is an awesome show, you should check it out.
6) Dame Diana Rigg - Both my Dad and I have had crushes on her character Emma Peel from the '60s show The Avengers, LOL. I've always found that amusing. She's a great stage actress, and I would LOVE to see her perform some day, even though I'm accepting the fact that that will probably never happen.
7) Harrison Ford - Han Solo, Indiana Jones... okay, so I haven't really seen him in much else, and I wouldn't call him an amazing actor, but... he's INDIANA JONES, ya know??
8) Megan Mullally - I learned a lot about myself through being a fan of hers, and even though I no longer follow her every move, I still greatly admire her. And she's back to singing on broadway again, go Megan!
9) Dame Judi Dench - Legendary.
10) Imelda Staunton - Terrific actress. I love her hysterically funny characters. She may be shrimpy, but boy she has presence!

Mexico trip - Day 6

Dad rented us a car, and we took a trip to Sayulita, a cute little town north of Bucerias. It's a surfer attraction spot, the beach gets good waves.
This was on the drive up.

Haha, this is a "look, a camera" face.

We had lunch in Sayulita, and our waiter was from Oregon! He got really chatty when he learned we were too, lol. He said he was staying with his grandparents, who had a house there.

We made lots of doggy friends in Mexico, but this was my favorite. Her name was Azteca, apparenty. I didn't notice that until I saw this photo later.

Crazy-crowded beach! We didn't spend much time there.

Mexico trip - Day 5

We just spent this day hanging around Bucerias. I took some photos of some of the gorgeous hibiscus flowers in the yard.

A little Anole trying to hide on a bush. And it worked. Everytime he moved, it took me a while to find him again. I also saw a couple of these little guys puffing out their orange-colored throats, but I never caught it on camera. =( Pretty awesome though.

Bougainvillea! They are EVERYWHERE, and I LOVE them!

Part of the market in Bucerias. Sophie and I tried our hand at bargaining. We were almost starting to get the hang of it, but it was still uncomfortable to get used to.

Mexico trip - Day 4

Day 4 -

We ventured into downtown Pto. Vallarta for the first time.

Check out the hill we had to climb each time we took the bus from our house. *pant*

After getting off the bus too early(with no help from the bus driver), we had a long walk before we got to Puerto Vallarta's Malecón, which is what they call the long boardwalk area along the ocean, where all the cool statues are. We also walked past one of those human statue dudes(always awesome. I remember seeing quite a few of them in San Francisco), and some amazing sand sculptures.

Bubba Gump!! I so would have wanted to go there if it wasn't all shrimp.

The trees in the little square were filled with pigeons. Pretty cool lookin.

See the guy with the guitar? He hopped aboard a bus we were on, and started playing and singing(quite loudly), to the americans on the bus. It was all in spanish of course, so I didn't understand most of it. It was so hot that day too, and the bus was packed, so as amusing as it was, we were glad when we reached the bus stop.

After all that excitement, we had an early dinner at the house, and went to Sandrina's for dessert. And guess what? We were sung to AGAIN! but this time it was nicer, it was by two guys, and we got to choose between a "love song" and a "happy song", hehehe. ^_^

Day three was taken up by a grand adventure to Walmart.(whoopee)
Walmart sucks.

The buses are exciting though! I'll never again be thrilled by roller coasters.

Mexico trip - Day 2

DAY TWO:

We went to the beach(which was just a block away from our casa), to go swimming - in the OCEAN, ZOMG!

Then we went home and went swimming in our pool, lol.
Mom, Dad, and Jack had their cervezas. I did a watercolor of the front gate.

This is just one of the little gatos that spent time in our yard. This one was really cute and shy. We fed it cheese, and I think it liked us a bit more after that.

We walked to a restaurant in a hotel one block over, called Karen's Place. It was really absolutely perfect. The sunset, the umbrellas on the beach, and there was even a guy playing guitar. Sophie and I didn't like our food too much, but it's hard to find vegetarian, so we had to take what we could find. I had my first margarita though! I didn't want my own, so I just drank from Mom's. I don't think I'm much of a tequila person. I had a better margarita at a place in Pto. Vallarta later in the week though.

Well, we are back from Mexico. We got home Thursday night, and I don't want to be here!! =(
Oregon is so depressing compared to Bucerias.

I'm going to slowly try to log our trip, day by day. Sorry if it's terribly long and boring.

DAY ONE:

We arrived in Puerto Vallarta in the early afternoon, and after making it past all the crazy time-share people, we got a taxi to our house in Bucerias. "Casa Andrea' was the name of it, and here's a shot I took in the back on the first night. You can see the pool, and the little casita on the right.

MMMMmmmmm!!

I've been a little obsessed with lavender lately, and I plan to try putting it in everything. Today I added lavender to a vegan cinnamon roll recipe. They turned out really well, but the lavender wasn't quite strong enough. I'll try adding more next time, but I think I also need to find some better lavender buds.
The icing has fresh orange juice and more lavender in it. The lavender taste seemed stronger when I heated it up.

BIRTHDAY WEEK! (also Spring Break)

DAY ONE: My actual birthday.
After finding out that the tattoo artist wouldn't be coming in that day after all, I grabbed a slice of pizza at american dream, and was joined by Jaylynn, Ana, Neebin and Patrick. We wandered downtown, and decided to head to the courthouse so I could get registered.

Here's a fuzzy camera-phone picture of me filling out the form.

We toured around the courthouse for a while. This was out of an open window on the highest floor we were able to get to.

Then after meeting up with Sophie and Bekka, we decided to do my plan B - Hand out helium-filled balloons to little kids. So we went to Special Occasions and got 11 balloons blown up. Then we took them downtown(which was tricky, with every seat in the car filled up already), and started our search for cute children, hehe. It was incredibly fun, the kids were all really excited to get a balloon. =D

After all the balloons were gone, Sophie, Ana, Bekka and I went to Woodstock's to join my family for my birthday dinner. We played with the toy claw machine, but nobody got anything.

DAY TWO: TATTOO!

DAY FIVE through SEVEN: Coast Trip with Ana and Charlotte.

It hailed like crazy AND snowed on the way over. Then it rained and hailed on and off for the first two days, but on Sunday it was sunny, and we spent a lot of time on the beach. =D

It was Moony's birthday today! Well, yesterday... it's almost 2am now.

I finished this painting today for it:

Sophie, Ana, Bekka, Sam and I had a little party for Remus.
We experimented with a butterbeer recipe, and ended up putting in a crap load of stuff. It turned out really good though, but really super sweet.

I made a cake, because we had to have chocolate!!

Twas much fun. And I got a new cake recipe out of it too. Chocolate orange bundt cake (vegan). Except that we don't have a bundt cake pan.

I've been terrible with the updates lately... I added a whole bunch of new stuff to my sketch blog last week though, and I'll try to upload a collection of sketches today.

I've been watching American Idol this year. I used to hate it, and haven't actually watched a whole season since... season 3? That was four years ago, when Fantasia won. I think I liked George Huff and La Toya London that year. I've payed attention every once and a while. I really liked Bo Bice from season 4.

But THIS year, I've been watching, because there's a lot of variety it seems. Except that Danny and Luke just got voted off, and they were a main source of entertainment. I thought Danny would last longer, he's so adorably androgynous.
And since when do I spend so much time talking about dudes? I dunno, it just seems like the girls are all boring this year, except for Amanda and possibly Carly.

Anywho.... I love Jason Castro. He hasn't really got a chance of winning (isn't it obvious that David Archuleta should win?), but he's different, and totally shy and cute. And I LOVED his version of "Daydream", I bought it on iTunes the next day.

I haven't posted in 2 weeks, geez!

Well, one of our compters (the one that I use most, so it has all my stuff on it), has been being worked on for a few days, but it should be home pretty soon. And HOPEFULLY everything will be working well again, and our Sims2 games will no longer have graphic malfunctions.

I've got a couple of drawings done, but I haven't been able to scan them. =(

I hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day!

I'll post more about mine later, after I've uploaded some pictures. =)

I also watched the Grammys, which was lots of fun. And now I'm adding lots of new music to my playlist. (the one right above this) =D

Today Soph and I went to hang out at the Johnsons' and exchange gifts.

We made hot chocolate, and Zoë decorated our cups with whip cream and other toppings(accompanied by sound-effects).

We also watched music videos on youtube, and "Lollilove", a mockumentary starring Jenna Fischer(from The Office) and her husband, about a couple that starts an organization to hand out lollipops to the homeless. lol.

Today was also Maggie Smith's birthday. =D

Hey there, I hope everyone has been enjoying the holidays!

It snowed on Christmas! That never happens in Corvallis!! Sure, at our house it was only for about 2 minutes, but it counts all the same.

I totally forgot to take any pictures on Christmas day, but I did get a few from Grandma's house the next day, where we got together with Dad's side of the family.

Our little cousin Toby is almost 3 now, and was full of energy mostly the whole time we were there. He had time to stop playing with his cars for picture-taking though.

Oh, and here's a random picture of Sophie at Grandma's. (No killing of the sister, missy, if you don't like such pictures being posted, you shouldn't make funny faces at the camera.)

Happy Winter Solstice!

Too bad it was such a miserable day. I want snow!!

We saw National Treasure: Book of Secrets yesterday. I was super excited when I heard they were making a new one, not to mention that Helen would be in it!

Though I did really enjoy it, it certainly wasn't as good as the first one. I wasn't expecting it to be exactly amazing though, after seeing the trailers. Kidnapping the president? come on. LOL. That part was still cool though.

What bothered me the most was how Gates went about things this time. In the last movie, he started out being pretty humble about what he was doing; only breaking the rules when really necessary, and so on...

He just wanted the bloody treasure this time. =P For a good reason though I suppose.

BUT, it was incredibly fun to see Helen doing action for the first time, and a great mixture of sweet/bitchiness.

The Order of the Phoenix came out on DVD yesterday!! Sophie and I bought it of course. The extra features are pretty cool, but there are no bloopers... Not that there ever have been, have there? But, one can always hope. I think bloopers are the best parts. I'm so glad that there are always bloopers on the POTC DVDs. =)

I did a bit of doodling after watching the movie.

I think this is probably one of my favorite parts. My favorite sentimental part anyways.

1.) My biggest pet peeve is drawers and cupboards that aren't closed all the way. I spent a lot of time pushing drawers closed in the kitchen, and sometimes even rearranging stuff so that cupboard doors will close right.

2.) my best dream sign(helpful for lucid dreaming) is flying, which usually happens when I'm running away from something/someone.

3.) I'm rather obsessed with plaid. Green tartan, to be exact. And I just got a green plaid comforter, yayz!

4.) I get new ideas for paintings and drawings all the time, but I get easily bored, so I usually have tons of unfinished art lying around.

5.) I usually have a specific time when I plan to go to bed, but then it's always like 'just one more fanfic' or 'I'll just decorate one more Sims room'... or I get caught up watching random youtube videos... and I always stay up much later than I planned.

7.) I have an evenness problem. If one foot steps on a crack in the sidewalk, the other foot needs to also. If I put one hand in water, I have to put the other one in too. - OMG QACEI, I'VE GOT THAT PROBLEM TOO!! some other examples would be... if I scratch an itch on one side of my body, I have to touch the other side of my body too. And the covers on my bed have to be all lined up with each other, one of the blankets can't be hanging off slightly to one side.

8.) the concept of infinity really bugs me, even though I don't have any other explanation in some cases, I just prefer not to think about it.

9.) I talk to my plants sometimes...

But guess what! I got assigned a chapter for the HP Art Project! I'm doing Chapter 36 from GOF, "The Parting of the Ways", a very good chapter me thinks. ^__^

The other artist who is also doing that chapter is *Sigune -

She's an amazing artist, so it will be really cool to see what she comes up with for the same chapter. =)

If you have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, here's a little summary from The HP Fanart Project's livejournal's FAQ:

The goal of this is to have one illustration per HP chapter(now 2 per chapter), which will then be collected into either a book or 7 portfolios (we're still deciding) and sent to JKR, so she can appreciate that not only have her books inspired reading and writing, but other arts as well.

So basically, it's a few hundred fanartists putting together a humongous book of illustrations for the entire Harry Potter series, and shipping it off to J.K.

So, I'm super excited to be a part of it.

...well, maybe for just a little bit.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed on Tuesday. I was kinda nervous about it, because I've never had surgery or been put to sleep before. It wasn't near as bad as I was expecting though.

Here I am after coming home from the oral surgeon's office, gauze-mouthed and all. Ahh, so attractive... XP

Well, I've basically been doing nothing but watching movies for the last 4 days, some of which are listed on the side over there >>>

I've been having a bit of a Julie Andrews fest. I've been wanting to see Victor Victoria for a long time now, so that was fun.

Dammit, I practically tear up everytime I hear her sing now, knowing she probably won't ever be able to hit those notes again. =(

Thursday(Oct. 11th) was National Coming Out Day.

I went to see Keith Boykin speak. He was really cool, and a very good speaker. I liked what he had to say.

Here's something taken from his bio at www.keithboykin.com:

A former White House aide to President Clinton, Keith was once the highest-ranking openly gay person in the Clinton White House. He also helped to organize and participated in the nation's first ever meeting between a sitting U.S. president and leaders of the gay community.

He's also the author of three books, and my grandparents were very nice, and had him sign a copy of his newest book, Beyond The Down Low: Sex, Lies, and Denial in Black America, for me. =D

Out-N-About also had a party, and we had the most awesome gay-rainbow-unicorn cake ever, check it out!

What were the saddest parts about the last book?
#1 - Harry walking into the forest, and talking to Lily, James, Sirius, and Lupin. I cried the most there.

#2 - Remus and Fred dying. pretty much my 2nd and 3rd fave characters there.

#3 - Hedwig. seriously, why must JK make us hate her that early into the book?

#4 - Dobby's death. I didn't know how much I actually cared about him until that point.

#5 - these quotes:

"NO!' The scream was the more terrible because he had never expected or dreamed that Professor McGonagall could make such a sound." - took me for bloody ever to get past that line, I kept hearing it over and over again in my head.

"After all this time?' 'Always,' said Snape."

"Harry looked at his mother. 'Stay close to me' he said quietly." - THE saddest part for me, right there.

Do you feel something was left out that you wanted to know more about? If yes, what?
well, like almost everyone, the epilogue bugged me. I wanted Luna to have an ending, and I wanted to know more about post-war Hogwarts.

Who were you mad at during the last book?
Harry, because he's stupid, but he made up for it. but other than that, no one in particular... except perhaps Ron. I was just mad at the book in general the whole time he was gone.

Aww, look at poor Chestnut. His right eye has been bigger for a few years now, but just recently it got worse, and started to affect the side of his face, so we took him to see the vet. Turns out he's got an infection behind his eye, and I've been giving him eyedrops, and we have to give him antibiotic injections. He really loves that. *coughcough*

I hope it gets better, and we don't have to have the eye removed. =(

Happy Birthday Daddy!

I made cinnamon rolls. =)

So, today I went to the doctor's, because last night I passed out for no apparent reason.

Freaked me out quite a bit, but other than that I'm alright now. Except for my face being a bit sore where I landed on the kitchen floor. =P

He said it probably happened because of a drop in blood pressure, which is fairly common, expecially in women, because we naturally have lower blood pressure than men do. Which sucks, but he said it's also part of the reason women tend to live longer.

So, I'll just have to watch for it, and probably take it a little more seriously when I get dizzy. But it shouldn't be any sort of problem, unless it starts happening often.

I'm back from Not Back To School Camp!

I had an amazing time, even if I was lonely for a lot of it. The sad thing was that I got sick in the last couple of days, which was just when I was starting to feel comfortable there; but after I got sick, I had less energy to do cool things. (note to self: DO A BETTER JOB OF KEEPING MYSELF HEALTHY NEXT YEAR)

I've been talking my family's ears off about camp for the last day and a half, so obviously there's plenty to tell. But for now, I'm not going to go into detail. All I'll say, is that it was amazing to be with all of those people, and NBTSC truly is a very special place.

I've been inspired by so many people there, and I feel like I actually want to do all of the projects I've had ideas for in the past. I'm trying not to do too much just yet though, because I'm still sick, and would like to be slightly better by Sunday, when I will be going to the Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire, yay!!

So right now, I'm working on putting together my outfit for Shrewsbury, and I'm starting a big collage type thing I got an idea ages ago, but never got started on. I kinda want to keep the collage a secret until it's finished, but I'll say this, since a few people already know: I've been collecting LIFE magazines for about a year now.

Muaahaahaaaaaa.

Yay, lots of good things going on to make this day very nice. =)

To start off, Neebin and I went downtown to Sunnyside Up to show Jon our artwork, because he had said that he might let us hang some of our stuff there sometime. Well, he looked over our stuff, gave us some suggestions on framing and whatnot, and asked if we thought we could fill the whole space, and we said we could try! So he's put us down for January '08.

This is so exciting! Our artwork is going to be on basically every wall space in there!

Then later this evening, I went back to Sunnside Up with Sophie and Beka for the improv show, which had more people in it tonight than I had ever seen. There were 6 of them, which made for longer and funnier games. =)

Yesterday, Sophie and I took Clover for a walk up the hill, and found blackberries. So we picked some, and today I made some little mini(and vegan, of course) tart type thingies. =)

And it's RAINING!!! That makes me so happy. I really do hate the heat. Rain actually makes me want to DO something. =)

I was just sitting outside, and I saw at least 3 meteors. Pretty cool, but awfully tiny. Plus, it's cold out there!

Camping

We're back! if you even knew we were gone...
Anyways, we were camping at Timpanogas lake from Tuesday to Saturday.

Here's a very poorly put together panorama of Timpanogas lake, but it's just so you get the idea...

On the way up, we stopped by a reservoir(which I can't be sure of the name of... might be Dexter?) for lunch. I'd already eaten mine though, so I took pictures. ;)

The first night, we stayed in a lower campsite, but regretted this, because of all the mosquitos. =P

The next day, we moved to a better spot, and Sophie and I went searching for little tiny frogs/toads/whatever they are.

I made salsa, and we found a tree frog in the canoe.

Over at Lower Timpanogas lake, which was just a minute's walk from our campsite, there we tons and tons of the little guys. Clover had fun there too.

On Wednesday, we hiked up to Indigo lake, which, disappointingly, wasn't Indigo at all, but more green-ish. =P Still pretty though.

On Thursday, a silly little hummingbird got itself stuck in our mosquito tent. After a few minutes of us trying to tempt it out, another hummingbird flew up to the tent, and started talking to the one on the inside. Then the second bird flew into the tent, and then back out again. After doing this about 5 times, it was obvious that the first hummingbird wasn't getting the clue, so we lifted the tent up and shooed it out.

Anybody see any of the meteor shower? I've been out once tonight, and didn't see anything, but I'll be trying again once I finish up here.

So, because we just desperately need a new chair in the living room, because the green rocking chair sucks, Mom bought this red la-z-boy for really cheap.

Dexter has claimed it as his own.

Dex is such an attention whore. He'll actually pose for the camera. It's rather nice though, in a strange way, because then I can take these long exposures, because the light in our house isn't so great. lol.

On another note, I'm going to the fair today. I shall probably be back with pictures.

Cascadia

Today I went to Cascadia to swim in the river with Sophie, Zoë, Sophia, Theresa, Eli, Lori, Wendy, and Mom.

Oh, and Misty and Sierra(dogs).

After swimming in the river, and having some lunch, we hiked up to the waterfall.

The dogs were going everywhere, and Misty even slid down a really steep hill, and created a small avalanche. o_O

Oh, and I entered a bunch of stuff in the fair. Photos, earrings, and cupcakes. I would have entered more, but I kinda waited until last minute to get it all together, so I ran out of time. =P

This is a wallpaper I made recently, using pictures from "White Nights" with Mikhail Baryshnikov, he's an amazing dancer. I need to own this movie.

The first half of this video is the best scene of the movie. The emotion in his dancing is overwhelming.
